Cairo International Airport – The Cairo International Airport is a great airport. It will have all the conveniences you are used to having when travelling. For the business traveller there are plenty of business services in the airport too, as well as banking facilities. Plenty of places to dine in, shops for you to purchase anything you might need in and also there are information desks placed throughout the airport if you’re in need of assistance of any kind. There are two main terminals with a free shuttle service between them. A new Terminal is being constructed and is due to open in 2007.

To get back and forth from the airport you should check with your hotel as they may have a shuttle service available for their patrons. You can also take a taxi or limousine to get to your destination and limousines can be ordered over the internet (but they do need to be booked in advance while taxis can be picked up from the taxi rank at the airport on arrival).

There is also an airport bus service too. They go from the Airport to the centre of Cairo from Terminal 1 a bus leaves about every 30 minutes and less often during the night. The bus number is No 400.
